How it Works Power Stretching
A power stretching routine consists of exercises that work on increasing flexibility, core strength, balance, and postural awareness. Power stretching has numerous health benefits, is easy to start, and does not require huge amounts of time. The following are some benefits of a power stretching routine: Increased flexibility – Flexible muscles can improve your daily performance. Tasks such as lifting packages, bending to tie your shoes or hurrying to catch a bus become easier and less tiring. Improved circulation - Power stretching improves circulation of blood to the muscles and joints. Increased blood circulation brings nutrients to our cells and removes waste byproducts. Decreased stress and tension - Power stretching relaxes the tense muscles that often accompany stress. For complete benefits, click here

Back to School: Saving For College
Julie Murphy Casserly, According to recently released reports from the College Board, most students and their families can expect to pay, on average, from $108 to $1,398 more than what they paid in 2008 for this year’s tuition and fees, depending on the type of college. And with inflation rates continuing to increase, these costs will likely double and even triple in the years to come.Although these costs are quite daunting, there are ways that parents and kids can prepare themselves for the sticker shock of attending college: Next pay raise, take 1/2 or 1/3 of it and put it in a 529 plan to get tax deferred and tax free gains. Sign up for www.upromise.com where corporations will share in their profits and provide money to your children’s college fund on products that you already buy. Re-prioritize your monthly savings goals to fit the need, if one kid is in college and one is approaching grad school, determine which one to tackle first. For more college savings tips, click here.

| Pain Management for Children | | Children feel pain, just as adults do, but have a hard time explaining what hurts. Their pain can result from either physical or emotional reasons. It’s up to parents to do a little detective work to see what is causing the pain. The most common causes of pain in children are often related to trauma. By their nature, children are extremely active. Injuries that occur while bicycling, rollerblading, running or even rough housing are familiar to all parents. The most important thing for a parent, as the primary caregiver, is to obtain a good history of the injury. It may be difficult to find out exactly what happened to cause the pain, because children cannot verbalize or are simply unaware of how they got hurt. click here for more |
| Holistic & Cosmetic Dental Care…Yes, It’s Possible | | Ora Dental Studio
Holistic dental care is the philosophy and approach to dentistry that promotes oral and overall health and wellness instead of just the treatment of oral disease. A holistic dental practice can become the first line of defense for preventative medicine. This is because a holistic dental practice sees the patient before they are obviously ill, periodontal diagnosis & systemic diagnosis are now intertwined, and on a yearly basis a dental hygienist spends 4 times as much quality time with the patient than their physician. Many people feel that cosmetic dental care is only about vanity, wanting to look better. While that statement is true to a degree, you need to understand the power and importance of an attractive healthy smile. Your smile is the first thing people will notice about you, it is a fundamental element of your natural beauty – a reflection of your spirit, your essence. A sparkling smile that is in perfect harmony with the lips and face crowns the splendor of your character. A healthy attractive, smile is an important facet of life – it can have an impact on your personal, social, and professional relationships. When you are pleased with your smile you radiate confidence and positive energy. For more, click here |
| How To Improve the Therapeutic Outcome of Treatment | | The average cost of one round of chemotherapy in the US is approximately $45,000.00. Most patients need at least 4 rounds. Cytotoxic chemotherapy drugs are also the only classification of prescription drugs that allows doctors to directly profit from their prescription. This means that your MD gets a cut of the cost of your treatment – a treatment that is 97% ineffective. Imagine for a moment what would happen if a chiropractor, naturopath, herbalist, or homeopath recommended that a patient take an exorbitantly expensive, harmful, and ultimately ineffective treatment for their cancer. What do you think the newspaper headlines following that story would be like? Our complacency as a society in the face of such an egregious medical therapy as chemotherapy is telling. We have effectively been brainwashed by the medical industry into being “OK” with the consistent and overarching prescription of crushingly expensive, harmful, and ridiculously ineffective chemotherapeutic drugs. We need to all collectively snap out of it and recognize that allopathic medicine has failed miserably to make any headway into the treatment of adult-onset cancer. Because of the HUGE amounts of money involves in the clinical application of chemotherapy, I doubt however that this will ever happen. Click here, for more. |
