CBS, picking up on a press release from Chicago Healers.com practitioner Teresa Zeigler L.Ac., CH MSOM, a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) professional, shared some helpful strategies to help Chicago drivers keep their cool, including the foods one should avoid before driving. Meat, alcohol, hot sauces, spicy/salty foods, fried foods, fatty foods, rich/sweet foods and all coffee or caffeine products are anger inducing culprits. These tend to irritate the digestive system and contribute to mental stress which can preoccupy drivers who need to focus on road safety. Other tips included keeping up with your supplements, reducing anger and anxiety with acupuncture and acupressure, and doing energy building exercises such as Tai Chi or yoga to improve the quality and free flow of Qi.
