Services
Describe your services:
I use structural, nutritional and energetic methods of evaluation and treatment to find the causes of your distress and to direct the body as it makes the corrections. The main modalities I use during office visits are Naprapathy, Neuromodulation Technique and PSYCH-KThese gentle, effective therapies help restore the body’s control systems so its own healing mechanisms can work effectively. I also may use traditional lab analysis, saliva and urine testing to find biochemical imbalances. Muscles response testing and electrodermal screening help pinpoint problems that don’t show up with the classic medical tests.
How does your healing modality work?
Everything I do works by reactivating the body’s innate ability to self-correct. This is what gets lost in chronic illness.Naprapathic treatment involves gentle, hands-on manipulation of the spine, joints and soft tissue to correct structural imbalances leading to pain and dysfunction.
Neuromodulation Technique (NMT-The Feinberg Technique) is actually my main modality because it works so well for so many things. It uses muscle response testing with a series of scripts, called pathways, to find out what the control systems of our bodies have forgotten what to do, and to retrain it so the body can self-correct.If a problem has an emotional or stress component (and what chronic problem doesn’t) I use PSYCH-K, which helps to “rewrite the software of your mind” identifying beliefs about yourself that are erroneous and no longer serving you, and replacing them with new beliefs that enable you achieve your goals.
I also help you through nutrition, detoxification and homeopathic drainage, hormone and neurotransmitter balancing when necessary.
How do you see your services evolving over the next three years?
I’m working really hard to solve the weight puzzle. I’m putting together programs that address food, metabolism and emotional issues that I should start offering as classes and individual sessions this summer. There’s a new product being released in July 2008 that could help people who have “tried everything”. I get to try it first to see if it really works. I will also be doing mini-spas and skincare seminars with anti-aging products that are effective and affordable.

What are the benefits/results people see?
Most people say that no matter where they are with their symptoms, the ability to handle life’s stresses of all sizes gets better. Some of the specific benefits include:

Pregnancy after years of infertility
Increased confidence and self-esteem
Improved sleep
Improved energy and mental clarityWhy do people come to see you?
Usually because they have a chronic problem that they were told they would have to learn to live with, like allergies, autoimmune, or pain following injuries. Friends or other practitioners have referred most of my patients.Who is an ideal client?
Adults, children and families who want to be healthy and happy but are not looking for a quick fix. This type of healing can take anywhere from a few sessions to a year or two, depending on how long you’ve had the problem and what level of health you desire. What makes you different/good at what you do?
I have many tools in my healing toolbox that work on the physical, biochemical, emotional and energetic levels

Philosophy/Approach
Describe your healing philosophy:
Think of yourself as an orchestra, or a rock band if you prefer, with all your parts playing together making great music. An unhealthy body/mind is like having one of your band members playing out of tune. Your band still plays, but it’s no fun to listen to. My job is to be the conductor; to use therapies that retrain your body to be the self-healing instrument it was designed to be.Describe your style or approach:
Open, friendly, relaxing. I want to get to know you as a person. We have fun in my office, and though it may seem casual, I’m very serious about helping you heal. Why do you do what you do?
There is no greater satisfaction than helping someone heal their bodies and their lives.

What to expect
Describe a typical session:
In the first session, we’ll talk about your current state of health and get your medical and social history from as far back as you can remember. I want to know everything significant that’s happened to you, because that’s brought you to where you are now. I want to know what your goals are for your health and your life, and what you are and are not willing to do to get there. We will then determine a course of treatment-what modalities are most appropriate for you. We may do an initial treatment if time permits. Subsequent sessions will be treatment-oriented. We may do Neuromodulation Technique, Naprapathic manipulation, PSYCH-K; discuss nutrition and supplementation, or whatever is determined to be most helpful for that time. How long is a typical session?
The first session lasts an hour to an hour and a half. Subsequent sessions are usually a half-hourDescribe your office or treatment room:
My Evanston office is relaxing and friendly, professional. yet not too clinical. The far-infrared sauna room should be ready in July 2008. My Oak Park office is shared with other bodyworkers in the Lake Street Professional Building, with an amazing view of downtown Chicago.
Both offices are easily accessible by car or public transportation.
How should someone prepare for a session?
With a clean body and an open mind. Bring any relevant recent lab tests to your appointment, eat so you’re not hungry while we’re working, and please avoid wearing scented products.

Closing comments
What else might someone want to know about you?
I’m an animal lover-my mission is to rid everyone of their pet allergies. I’m a bit of a stand-up comedian at heart and believe if you can still laugh, you can heal. I’m also a work in progress myself and understand the frustrations my patients may have, especially while they are learning to eat more healthfully.
