Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are serious, potentially life threatening illnesses that are influenced by emotional and cultural factors. Each year millions of people in the United States develop serious and sometimes life-threatening eating disorders. A large percent of those afflicted with eating disorders are adolescent and young adult women, these illnesses can also strike men and older women. There is a strong connection between depression and eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating. They may be triggered by: low self-esteem, feelings of helplessness, a fear of becoming fat, chemical imbalances, genetic pre-disposition, stress, anxiety or a traumatic event.

Often an overgrowth of CANDIDA in the colon causes sugar cravings. By thoroughly cleansing the gastrointestinal track these cravings can be stopped or at least controllable.

Consultation and colon hydrotherapy, oral intake of cleansing herbs and healthy bacteria, and change in diet are some of the ways we help reduce sugar cravings.
