Care Provider Stress/Needs

Providing support and care for aging parents, family or friends can be a strain on emotional and physical health. These days many people find themselves sandwiched between raising children and caring for aging family members, in addition to working and caring for themselves. In the same sense practitioners in the healing professions can become more focused on helping others than attending to their own care, causing them to become emotionally or physically depleted. Oftentimes these obligations can contribute to caregiver fatigue or create stress leading to feelings of anger, fear, anxiety, hopelessness or depression and may compromise the caregiver’s feelings wellbeing and happiness.
